RESOLVED. WHEREAS, the City of Bangor has committed itself to make
available to its employees the benefits of the State Retirement System, and
WHEREAS, the State Retirement System provides that employees in excess of
70 years of age must be retired unless special provisions are made, and
WHEREAS, Clarence P'- Walker, an employee in the Public Works Department,
of the City of Bangor, Maine is in excess of 70 years of age and wishes to
avail himself of the opportunities afforded by the State Retirement Plan,
therefore be it
RESOLVED, that in view of Mr. Walker's many years of faithful and
conscientious service to the City of Bangor, the request of Mr. Walker
that he be not retired at age 70 be and hereby is granted, and that the
Trustees of the State Retirement System be advised that Mr. Walker is
being retained.

Dear Mr. Coupal:
Mr. Clarence P. Walker, an employee in the Poblio Works Department,
has reached the age of seventy add bas requested an extension of one year
in his term of employment.
As Mr. Walker is in good physical condition aryl capable of performing
his duties as a s®1 -skilled laborer doing carpenter and repair work, we
feel we are justified in recommorbilng Mr. Walkerts request be granted and
that he be allwed to continue as an employee in this department.
