By W City Couneit of the City o(Bamgor: ORDERED, THAT, WHEREAS, the University of Maine isontemplating the establishment of a ampul a at Dow Air Force Base in an area which for the most part issubject to reversion back to the City of Bangor upon release by the United States of America, as des- cribed in the original deed from the City of Bangor to the United States of America, dated December 29, 1942, and recorded in Penobscot Registry of Deeds, Volume 1205, page 345,and, WHEREAS, the northerly line of said reversion area passes through portions of existing buildings to beacquiredby the University of Maine, and, WHEREAS, it is advantageous for the City of Bangor to exchange its right to the portions of said land which lie under those buildings for the land surrounding the Base Hospital, now therefore, be it ORDERED, that the city of Bangor agrees to convey to the University of Maine or its agents, its rights to that portion of the reversion awhich lies north of a line parallel to, and 30 feet northerlyof, the centerline of the pavement of Taft Street and east of a line parallel to, and 40 feet easterly from, the centerline of pavement of Illinois Avenue, and be it further ORDERED, that the relinquishing of its interests in said land by the City of Bangor be subject to the conveyance of the follow- ing parcel of land which encompasses the Base Hospital to the City of Bangor by the University of Maine or its agents: - 2 Beginning at a point on the southerly side of Texas Avenue, said point being approximately 30 feet from t e centerline of Texas Avenue and 1,100 feet more or less from the easterly right-of-way line of Illinois Avenue to the above-mentioned point, said point having coordinates of N 355599.69 and E 421953.42, as shown on the Dow Air Force Base Basic Layout Plan; thence 5 31132'16"W for a distance of 790.92 feet to a point; thence S 58127144"E 273.26 feet; thence N 321171121-E 202.02 feet; thence N 56142148"W 124.74 feet, said point being on the westerly right-of-way line of Texas Avenue and being 30 feet from the centerline of Texas Avenue; thence N 33017112"E a distance of 253.67 feet to the P.C. of ave to the left having a radius of 289.10 feet; thence following the above curve a distance of 242.62 feet to a point which tangent bearing is N 14147'51"W; thence following a curve to the left which radius is 411.50 feet a distance of 291.10 feet; thence N 55"19'43"W for a distance of 57.51 feet to the point of beginning, and be it further ORDERED, that said conveyance shall include the dedication of a 60 foot right-of-way encompassing the existing street known s Texas Avenue, extending southeast from Illinois Avenue for a distance of approximately 1,940 feet for future acceptance by said City of Bangor as a public way to be used asaccess to said hospital. m:.
