Gentlemen: Please be advised that the Planning Board held a public hearing on the above request an november 25, 1968. The Board gave very careful consideration to the request as well as to those opposed to the proposed change. In reaching its decision, the major factors were. 1. The question of this rezoning must be considered in light of its effect an the entire residential area there. 2. The long range land use of the area as it relates to the total proposed plan for logical development t. 3. The effect that industrial traffic now has on the area and the effect additional traffic would have. 6. The condition and capability of Olive Street to handle such additional traffic. 5. The safety aspect of such traffic. After considerable discussion a motion to approve the request was e passed. The Planning Board did wish to express its c the traffic generation and enforcement, the street width and condition, the relative safety for pedestrians due to the lack of sidewalks, and the adequacy of We street in general and the possible need for improvement when the Council acts on this request.
