To: The Municipal Officers
Pursuant to Council Order 215-U, passed August 28, 1967,
directing the construction of an extension of Curtis Street i
an easterly direction for a distance of 150 feet, the following
report is .submitted:
The roadway extension consisted of a 40 foot wide travel
way having a tar surface and 4 foot shoulders. The original
oat estimate was $3,760.00. The actual work performed, how-
ever,ineluding the partial reconstruction of the existing road-
way and the installation of a sub -drain system at a coat of
$6,883.00. Since most of the extra work was
considered necess-
ary

ary to properly maintain the existing roadway and w notecon
con-
sidered a part of the new roadway extension, it is recommended
that the assents be based upon the original estimate of
$3,760.00. Of amount, 50%, or $1,880.00, may be assessed
against the properties benefited, as follows:
North Side

It is recommended that the assessments against Briggs be
levied immediately, and that the assessment against the Adams
Trucking Company be deferred until such time s the property is
developed, provided that a suitable recordable instrument i
obtained. It should be noted that the name Curtis Street has since
been changed to Coffey Street.
