Additional waste containers may be rented by residents for an annual fee of $260, which covers the cost of pickup and disposal of waste that container will hold. When the container is rented, the resident pays a pro- rated fee to cover the balance of the fiscal year. The following year an invoice is generated to assess a $260 fee to cover disposal costs for the next fiscal year. If a resident fails to pay the invoice within 30 days, or fails to make arrangements for the additional waste container to be returned to the City, the Public Works Director shall have the right to terminate collection services to the additional container(s) until the resident contacts Public Works to make arrangements for payment of the invoice or return of the additional waste container(s). The Public Works Director would also have the right to terminate collection services to all containers if the resident fails to pay the invoice within 60 days or fails to make arrangements for the additional waste container(s) to be returned to the City.
