8 and 12 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Bangor, Maine be amended by the
following changes:
ITEM I ARTICLE 6
Deleting the following:
Sec. 1 (2) fiany business or service except heavy manufacturing"
And substituting therefore, the following:
any retail or service business provided that no goads
or materials are displayed or stored outdoors".
By Deleting the following:
Sec. 2 (3) Lot coverage: 100 percent coverage
(5) Front yard depth: no required front yard
(6) Side yard width: no required side yard
(7) Rear yard depth: no required rear yard
And substituting therefore, the following:
Sec. 2 (3) Lot c rage: maximum SO2 (does not apply to central Business District)
(5) Front yard depth:min imam " feet (does not apply to Central Business District)
(4) Side yard width: minimum fo feet (does not apply to Central Business District)
(I) Rear yard depth: minimum 24 feet (does not apply to Central Business District)
ITEM II ARTICLE 12
Deleting the following:
Sec. 12 (7) 'Tourist Homes: one parking space for each guest to=m
And substituting therefore, the following:
Sec. 12 (7) 'Tourist Home, Boarding House, Rooming House: one parking apace
for each guest room .
By adding a new sub section to Sec. 12, to read as follows:
Sec. 12 (8) "Retail and Service Business: one space for each 300 square feet
of gross floor area".

Gentlemen:
Please be advised that the Planning Board held a Public Hearing
on the above requested zoning ordinance change on June 16, 1969.
The Planning Board field several meetings on this request and has
voted to approve the zoning ordinance change subject to the following
modifications:
Sec. 1(2) Substitution should read as follows:
any retail, wholesale or
service business provided

that no goads o materials are displayed or stored
outdoors except goods or materials displayed for
retail sale."
Sec. 2 A natation should be added stipulating:
"Central Business District is defined as Planning
Area "A" on Planning Department maps.'
Article 12
Section 12 In the next to the last line the insertion of the ward
'Claes' to read as follows:
"within the same class zero.
