as established by the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Bangor on January ], 1954,
as amended, be hereby further amended as follows:
To change from Agricultural Zone to General Business Zone a parcel of land
located north of Mt. Hope Avenue and east of Hogan Road, being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at an Iran stake located on the North sideline of Mt. Hope Avenue
and being approximately 1931 east of the Northeast corner of Hogan Road and Mt.
Hope Ave This stake also being the southwest corner of Land of Larry K. Mahaney
and Louise F. Mahaney.
Thence in a northerly direction by and along the common Line of Dyer and
Mahaney for a distance of 200' - to a point.

Thence in a westerly direction and parallel to Mount Hope Avenue for a distance

BE Amending Zoning Ordinance Mt. Hope Avenue
City Council order 132-H
Gentlemen:
Please be advised that the Planning Board held a Public Hearing May 5, L969
on the above request.
The Board gave very careful consideration to the proposal presentedas wall
as to those opposed to the change.
The Board considered the possible questions of "spot soning"; the lack of
set backs and other controls, which do not exist in the current General Business
the effect this change would have on other land in the area, and the size
of the Parcel relative to parking needs and sewerage treatment,
After careful consideration the Planning Board voted unanimously to deny the
request.
The Planning Board does, however, feel that since the revised ordinance
is same time away the Board recommends that the existing ordinance be
amended at this time with suitable modification which would. give the.
controls necessary during this interim period.
It is therefor requesting the Planning -Department to prepare a
amendment which would serve the needs without conflicting with proposals
of the Dew ordinance.

Action For a zoning change will be initiated with the Bangor City Couvcll and ' uM�•
referred to the Bangor Planning Board. Statutes require a Public Hearing before the
Planning Board, after a public advertising (at least 10 days prior to such public
hearing), for all changes to the rating Ordinance of the City of Bangor. The re.
comaendatton of the Planning Board is then returned to the Bangor City Council for
final action.
