The employee of thin class performs responsible field and office work as principal assistant to the recreation director. In conference with the recreation director, assists in planning the over-all recreation program, add in preparing rules and regulations governing each activity. Gives Instructions to the field staff regarding technical requirements of special events and activities,.ists in scheduling events and prepares publicity releases for newspapers and radiu G;nes information to the public regarding the location and mase of various activities; hearsheaxs csm a4 5 gestionsi end assisto in r solving complaints. Maintains time and personnel records on all employees and prepares weekly payroll. Maintains playground attendance and activity reports submitted by field per- sonnel and compiles periodic summary reports of recreation activities. Plans, schedules and supervises the city basketball league, acreages for buildings and officials; and attends all league events to assure that they proceed an planned. gapervieea the teecrage recreation program; plans marinas special activities; and arranges for volunteer or paid leadership. Performa related work as required. Considerable knowledge of the principles and purposes of public Tooroation including a good understanding of activities which make vp a community rec'_eotion program. Considerable knowledge of the methods involved in organizing, conducting and supervising recreation activities. Considerable knowledge of a wide variety of recreation activities including competitive and group sports, and ability to teach such sports and to officiate at athletic events.
