And that the said City Engineer met at [nations and place of meeting started in the notiese and proceeded to lay opt. said alteration as follows: The existing right -0£ -way was widened at the intersection of Union Street as follows: Beginning at a point formed by the intersection of the southeasterly right-of-way line of independent Street and the northeasterly right-of-way line of Union Street; thence southeast along said northeast line of Union Street for a distance of 6 feet t0 a point, said point to be at the intersection of the new southeasterly line of independent Street with the northeasterly line of Union Street; thence N 36"41'28" E along the proposed new southeasterly right-of-way line of Independent Street for a distance of 61.3 feet more or less to a point on the existing southeasterly line of Independent Street; thence S 42114128" W along said existing southeasterly line of independent Street for a distance of 61.9 feet to the point of beginning. The above-described parcel contains 185 square feet more or less and is a part of the same premises conveyed to the Urban Renewal Authority of the City of Bangor by Frederick F. French by deed dated January 26, 1967 and recorded in Penobscot Registry of Deeds, Book 2087, page 364. In addition, a portion of the existing right-of-way is dis- continued along the southeasterly line of Independent Street as follows: Beginning at a point on the southeasterly right-of-way line of Independent Street, said point located 61.3 feet more or less northeast from the northeasterly right-of-way line of Union Street; thence continuing along said southeasterly line of Independent Street on a bearing of N 361 41' 28" E for a distance of 142.05 feet to a point; thence continuing along said right-of-way line N 75158120" E for a distance of 24.74 feet to a point. Thence S 42114128" W along the line which shall be the new southeasterly right-of-way line of Independent Street for a dis- tance of 161.96 feet to the point of beginning. m The above-described parcel to be discontinued contains 11,337 square feet more or less and is a part of the original right-of-way of Independent Street as laid out on March 4, 1839, and which is recorded in City of Bangor Road Book 2, page S. It is proposed that said parcel become a part of the adjacent land owned by the Urban Renewal Authority of the City of Bangor as conveyed by Frederick F. French by deed dated January 26, 1967, and recorded in Penobscot Registry of Deeds, Book 2087, page 364. No person or persons appeared at the time and place set for the meeting to object to the laying out, and it is recom- mended ended that no damages be allowed as a result of saidlaying out. A plan showing the alteration to the right-of-way line is on file in the office of the City Engineer. \\Respectfully submitted, John T.
