Bear Sir
The Bangor Jaycees are planning the Fourth Annual Paul Bunyan
International Hnwuobile Open to be held in Bangor on January 30 and
January 31 seat year. Thin event will be sanctioned by the United
States Snowmobile Association, ancl provide approximately 10,000 dollars
n prizes to the contestants. This will be the largest race in New
England this winter.
This event will be publicized by the Maine OED and the USSA as
well as by the Bangor Jaycees. We anticipate over 175 entrants from
all over the United States and Canada. Last year we had contestants
from as far away as Minnesota.
We hope that the Hanger Recreation Department Winter Carnival
will also be held during this time.
In order to handle this program, w respectfully request the use
of the Bass Park facilities on January 29 30 and 31, and the use of
the Bandar Au itarium lobby for registration and the rest room facilities
on the Toth and 31st.
Pavorable consideration of this request by the council at your Heat
regular session would certainly be appreciated.
Sincerely yours,
ITHE HANSOM JAYCEES JAAAYYCCEES
