The portion of Cumberland Street in question is located on the easterly side of Parkview Avenue (formerly called Date Street) and rune easterly from Parkview Avenue for a distance of 100 feet, more or less. It adjoins the northerly side of Lot IS in Jefferson Row, as shown o the plan of City Common made by C. G. Bryant and recorded in Penobscot Registry of Deeds, Plan Book 5, page 12. It is our understanding that the land over which Cumberland Street is supposed to run is now taxed to the purported owners, though the right of way has not been discontinued. I£ I can provide any more information about the property n question, I will be pleased to do so. If the City Council acts favorably on our request that the part of Cumberland Street in question be discontinued, we would appreciate being notified Of the action. Very truly yours, LAWRENCE E.
