TUT the attached application for utility location permit is hereby
granted.
Note: Following are the public streets and highways referred to:
PART A - Beginning at an existing underground duct system and Manhole 23
Owned by the Bangor Mydro-Electric Company located on the easterly side of Park
Street at the intersection of Penobscot Street; thence proceeding northwesterly
approximately 40 feet across Park Street; thence proceeding approximately 400
feet northerly along the westerly side of Park Street to a sea Manhole 220 to
be constructed at the intersection of Center Street, and thence proceeding approx-
imately 170 feet northerly along the easterly side of Center Street to a terminal
pole.
PART B - Beginning at Manhole 23 and the same point of beginning as Part A;
thence proceeding approximately 225 feet easterly along the northerly side of
Penobscot Street to the intersection of French Street.
PART C - Beginning ata sea Manhole 220 located at the intersection of Park
Street ame Center Street; theme proceeding approximately 290 feet easterly along
the southerly side of Somerset Street t new Manhole 221 to be constructed at
the intersection of French Street; thence proceeding approximately 100 feet across
Somerset Street and along the westerly side of French Street to a terminal polo.
DESCRIPTION: The facilities will consist of an underground ductline, wires
and/or cables, together with asociated appurtenances and switching equipment. Che
minimum depth to the top of the ductline will be approximately IS inches. The
ductline will be constructed within the limits of the public way, but outside the
part thereof customarily used for travel of vehicles insofar as possible. The
Initial oparatma of the facilities will be at 2400 units three phase; the voltage
will be increased as Occasion therefor requires far operation not in excess of 20
KV, to ground.

In accord with year requirements, we hereby submit two (2) copies each
of forms "Application For Utility Location Permit" eud "Utility Location
Permit".
Anticipated new electrical loads in the Urban Renewal Area require that
we increase the capacity of our Park Street Sulatation. This seeps that new
underground ducts and cables asset be installed. Therefore, we apply herewith
for parmiBsien to construct new ur3erground ductline, facilities along Park
Street, Center Street, Penobscot Street, and Semerset Stxast.
The Application For Utility Location Permit was published in the Bangor
Daily Weave on Ituch 28, 1970.

BANGOR HYDRO -ELECTRIC CONPANY, a Naive corporation having its principal
Place of baainess at Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Maine, being only
authorised pursuant to the laws of the State of Maine to generate, sell,
distribute she supply electricity in the City of Bangor, County of Penobscot,
State of Maine, hereby applies for a permit to authorize it to locate, construct
red maintain certain of its facilities, hereinafter described, upon, along,
under, over and across certain public ways situate in the muricipolity herein-
before referred to.
Any person, firm or corporation claiming to be adversely affected by
the proposed locations described herein, shall file a written objection with
mmucipal Officers, City of Bangor, stating the cause of said objection within
14 days after the date of this publication.
