KW IXM �DM/01: R6SOLV6D, WHEREAS, the City of Bangor realizes a obligation to com- plete - plete its program of sanitary sewage pollutimon abatement From the Renduskeag Stream and Penobscot River, and, WHEREAS, the construction of secondary sewage treatment facilities is considered to be of prime importance in the ful- fillment of the pollution abatement program, now therefore, be it RESOLVED, that immediate steps be taken to obtain preliminary plans for said secondary treatment facilities and, be it further RESOLVED, that the final planning and construction of said secondary treatment facilities be considered as the next phase of the pollution abatement program, so that administration and financing can be completed by September of 1971, final plans will be completed by October of 1972, construction shall be commenced prior to June, 1973, and construction shall be com- pleted on or before October of 1974. —.� STATEMENT OF FACT This will authorize taking all necessary steps to meet State and Federal time schedules for completing secondarytreatment in Bangor.
