TO! The Municipal Officers
In accordance with a request recently received from Judson
M. Grant, Jr. of Bangor, requesting the extension of sanitary
sewer service to his property located on Union Street, the
following report is submitted:
The subject property consists of approximately 3.6 acres
having 300 feet of frontage on the northeast side of Union Street,
lying westerly of property owned by Winslow V. Grant. The near-
est city sewer is located approximately 250 feet to the southwest
On Bangor International Airport.
The proposed installation would consist of 153 feet of 30 -
inch Class 2400 asbestos -cement pipe extending from the city
ewer on the Airport in a northeasterly direction to the north-
easterly side of Union Street, and an additional 107 feet of
8 -inch Class 2400 asbestos -cement pipe extending along Union
Street in a northwesterly direction to the southeasterly property
line of Judson Grant. In addition, two new manholes would be
required.
The total estimated coat of the Sewer is $3200.00, including
$1920.00 for the 10 -inch sewer across Union Street and $1280.00
for the 8 -inch lateral which would serve the property of W. Grant.
it is proposed Nat the 10 -inch sewer be considered as a trunk
line extension, and that the coat be paid by the city. It is
further proposed that 75% of the cost of the 8 -inch sewer lateral
be assessed against Mr. Grant's property, totalling $960.00.
A plan showing the proposed installation is attached.
