Lewis, Jr., dated December 15, 1970, requesting that the city prepare the nec- essary plans and cost estimates for the construction of a street known as Longrale Park, the following report is submitted: Final plans and cost estimates have been developed which would provide for the construction of 480 feet of roadway extending west- erly from Union Street within a 50 foot right-of-way to be dedicated by Mr. Lewis. The roadway will consist of a 28 foot wide travel way having an 18 inch gravel base and a tar surface. A 6 foot sidewalk would be constructed along the easterly side. Since it is the in- tent of the owner to extend the road for an additional 350 feet at a later date, it w necessary to provide catch basins at the end of the presently proposeconstruction, which would be connected to the Union Street storm sewer by 10 inch asbestos dement pipe. The total estimated costo the proposed construction is twelve thousand five hundred dollars ($12,500) which includes $3860 for the storm sewer and $8640 for the roadway construction. In accordance with Chapter XII, Article 12, Section 1.6.1 of the Subdivision Regu- lations of the Laws and Ordinances of the City of Danger, the city's share of the roadway construction would be $6.25 per lineal foot, or a total of $3,000 for 480 feet. The city's share of the storm sewer would be 25 percent, or $965. The remaining $8535 would be assessed against the property owners. It i ended that the roadway be constructed and accepted a a public way end that the assessments for said construction be levied as noted above. Respectfully submitted, So N! .
