HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-05-10 180-Y RESOLVE180-Y Introduced by Councilor Minsky, May 10, 1971 CITY OF BANGOR (TITLE.) �MojU¢, Op@ai Epap ac naervati Pia mg By tAe CAty cwu;t or tke City ofBunyor 3tEBOLV6B, that WHEREAS parks and open space are important to the development of a well planned community, and WHEREAS the Planning Board has responsibility for comprehensive planning under the General Statutes of the State of Maine and Ordinances of the City of Bangor, The Planning Board be requested to not only provide for comprehensive open space and conservation planning, but also accept the responsibility sometimes conveyed to Conservation Commissions under Title 30, Section 3851, and BE Er FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Planning Board coordinate with the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board on matters relating to open space, natural and scenic resources, conservation of streams and water supplies, parks, forests, wildlife preserves, nature reservations, recreational areas, historic preservations, And also recommend implementation, from time to time, of the Comprehensive Plan relating to open space development, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Board be requested to submit an initial report and inventory by August 30, 1971 of all open areas public and private for the purpose of obtaining information pertinent to proper utilization, protection, and development of such areas.
