PLANNING DEPARTMENT
Hay TO. 1971
T0: The Monorails City Council
PKCM: The Planning Board
RB: Application for Mobileborte Park - City Council Order No.173-Y
Gentlemen:
Please be advised that the Planning Board at their meeting of
May 11, 1971, considered the application for a Mobilebose Park referred
to them by the City Council.
The Board considered the proposal as outlined by Mr. Hughes as well
as the problems involved, such es.
1. The zoring of the area does not permit a mobilehome park.
3. The Comprehensive Plan proposes industrial development of the
general a - therefore, such residential use would M
intent with the plan.
3. Residential use ould be effected by the proposed alternate
runway (part of the Airport's Mester Plan)
4. There is consideration of a possible Regional Industrial Park
developmentin this area.
Therefore.
The Planning Board unanimously voted to recommend denial of the
Mobilehome Park license, as they do not find it in keeping with the Comprehensive
Plan of the City of Bangor,
The Plsnning Board review d only briefly the design layout since it was
Apparently deficient and would need additional work and some redesign, to meet
DID Ordinance requirements. It was
their feeling that the basic question of
land a should be answered before any additional time or expense was put into
the development.
Very truly yours,
se
