ORDERED,
THAT WHEREAS, the dedicated right-of-way known as Rio Street, between
Sidney Street and Larkin Street, has never been accepted as a public way and has
never been constructed, and
WHEREAS, the construction of said street would be of no benefit to the public,
now therefore be it
ORDERED, that said Rio Street be discontinued and removed from the official
City Map; said Rio Street Right -of -Way being more fully described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southwesterly right-of-way line of Sidney Street,
said point being 363.67 feet north from the northwesterly right-of-way line of Main
Street, as measured along said Sidney Street right-of-way line; thence, in a south-
esterly direction for a distance of 240,25 feet to the northeasterly right-of-way
line of Larkin Street at a point located 419.5 feet north from the northwesterly
right-of-way line of Main Street, as measured along said Larkin Street right-of-way
line. The above described street has been laid out 40 feet wide,measuriug at
right angles to the northwest of the above described line, as shown o a plan made
for George Savage, dated December 5, 1864, and recorded in the PRD, Plan Book 42
Page 50.

SUIODOT: Rio Street Discontinuence (Order 3052)
Gentlemen:
Please be advised that the Planning Peard considered the question
Of discontinuing Rio Street at their October 16, 1992 meeting.
The Hoard discussed the need for Rio Street asit exists, a well
as its relationship to the Comprehensive Plan. Alenof note were the
engineering aspects of developing a street onto that pecticularaite.
After careful Consideration the Pleasuring Heard voted to recommend
discontinuance
of Rio Street, end as a result of thin action, the heard
is requesting the City Engineering Department to investigate possible
locations fora read extending from Cellist Street to Ruck Street, an
element of the Comprehensive Plan.

To: The Municipal Officers
Pursuant to City Council Order 253-Y, passed August 9, 1971,
directing the City Engineer to install an extension of the sani-
tary sewer on Blue Hill East, the following report is submitted:
The installation consisted of 123 feet of 8 -inch asbestos
cement pipe and one manhole. The actual cost of the installation
e $1399.29. Of that amount, 75%, or $1049.46, may be assessed
against Mr. Leroy Cole, the original petitioner for the sewer
extension.
It is recommended that the assessment be levied as acted
above. A plan showing the actual installation is attached.
