To: The Municipal Officers
Reference is made to a letter from the Diamond International
Corporation dated April 11, 1972 wherein they requested an
extension of the existing sewer on Odlin Road in an easterly
direction to serve their property which is being developed as retail
lumber and building materials store.
Field surveys, pians and cost estimates have been completed,
and the following report is submitted:
The proposed sewer extension would consist of 975 feet of
B" pipe, and 3 manholes at a total estimated cost of $12,695.00. The
City would pay 25%. or $3,174.00, and the remaining $9,521.00
would be assessed against the properties that benefited as follows:
NORTH SIDE
Assessment Assessment
Owner Frontage to be to be
levied deferred
Dr. Eugene E. Brown 329.5' $1,610.10
T. Cox 640.0' 3,127.40
SOUTH SIDE
Durso Associates 548.9' 2,602.25
Diamond International 280.0' $1,368.25
Diamond International 1$0.0' 733.00
$1,368.25 $8,152.75
The properties owned by Brown and Cox each contain a small
residential dwelling. Both owners indicated that they would not
be in favor of the sewer installation if the assessments Here to be
levied upon completion, but would not object provided that the
assessments were deferred until such time as the property were
developed and they require entry into the sewer.
The property owned by Durso Associates is also presently un-
developed, and Diamond International is presently developing only
280 feet of their total 430 feet frontage.
To: The Municipal Officers -2- June 22, 1972
It is recommandecl that the sewer extension be constructed and
that the assessment be levied or deferred as noted above. A plan
of the proposed sewer as attached.
