A certain lot or parcel of land with the buildings thereon, situate in Bangor, to wit: Beginning at an iron rod at the intersection of the southeasterly aide of Short Street and the southwesterly aide of Hodedon Street; thence southeasterly along the southwesterly side of Hodedon Street, fifty-two (52) feet to a point; thence westerly at an angle of forty-five (45) degrees with the last course, a distance of thirty (30) feet to a point; thence southwesterly de- flecting about forty-five (45) degrees to the left from the last course, and generally parallel to Short Street, a distance of seventy<ight (78) feet, more or lase, to a point; thence southerly, deflecting about forty-five (45) degrees to the left from the last course, a distance of twenty-two (22) feet to the northeasterly side of onion Street; thence northwesterly along the said north- easterly aide of Union Street at a forty-five (45) degree angle from the last course, a distance of thirty-seven (37) feat to a point in the southeasterly line of land taken by condemnation proceedings by the State Highway Commission of the State of Maine dated duly 28, 1954, and recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds, Vol. 1445, page 87; thence northerly along said southeasterly line of land taken by condemnation proceedings, a distance of eight and one half (8.5) feet, more or lees, to a point at the southeasterly corner of the steps; thence westerly along the base of the steps four end ninety-five hundredths (4.95) feet to a point: thence northerly long the westerly aide of the steps four and thirty-five hundredths (4.35) feet to the southeasterly corner of the retaining wall; thence northerly along the face of the retaining wail twenty-six and nine hundredths (26.09) feet to a point; thence westerly two and thirty- two hundredths (2.32) feet, more or lees, to the southeasterly street line of Short Street; thence northeasterly along said south- asterly street line of Short Street a distance of seventy-five and nine tenths (75.9) feet, more or lase, to the point of beginning.
