ORDERED,
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to routinely submit Subgrant
applications to the Maine Law Enforcement Planning & Assistance Agency
requesting matching Omnibus Crime Control & Safe Streets Act funds for
police department programs and projects N those instances where city
funds necessary for matching purposes are a part of the existing police
department budget (including funds for salaries of existing personnel and
services which would be used for matching purposes), where the City
Manager determines that such programs and projects would improve law
enforcement services.
