MAINE 04,01 May 8, 1972 William Cohen, Chairman Bangor City Council Bangor, Maine Re: Real Estate, 14 Blake Place, Bangor, Maine Oear Mr. Chairman: This evening on the agenda i6 the request of Mr. Eaton to condemn the property located above, because it is con- sidered to be a dangeroud structure. Almost two years ago suit was instituted by Oscar Walker, Esq. for Alda J. Roberts, requesting that an accounting be made of proceeds paid to Conrad A. Orapeau in conjunction with a real estate mortgage. At a hearing in the Superior Court in May or June, 1970, Judge Silsby suggested that a professional accountant be retained and that he submit a report to the Court. This past Saturday Mr. Walker and I received a preliminary report. With the consent Of Basil Eaton I request a con- tinuance of the matter for thirty days, SO that we may resolve the matter. I do not intend to attend the hearing tonight, and if for any reason the Council does not grant the continuance I would be pleased to meet with them in the next day or so to orally present the position. Than]c you.very V truly Youre, \^\\\ C: MY. Basil Eaton \VAS
