PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the City of Bangor is constantly striving to promote citizen voluntary
action, and
WHEREAS the furtherance of these alms requires dedicated effort on the part of
all citizens in the community, and
WHEREAS the National Center for Voluntary Action has established awards for
voluntary citizen action, and
WHEREAS John Supanovich has been named Cltationist In the 1972 National
Volunteer Awards Competition due to his leadership in organizing the volunteer
group COMBAT, as well as his service as Chairman of the Drug Education
Committee, and as Director of the Penobscot Regional Health Agency, the
Maine Drug Abuse Commission, and the State Health Planning Council,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Bangor, through Its Mayor and City Council
wishes to formally commend John Supranovich for his voluntary efforts and
calls upon all citizens of the community to fully support the community civic
cultural, and charitable programs In Bangor with their participation.
