Pursuant to City Council Order 231-Z, passed July 10, 1922, authorising the
construction of an extension to the Calla Road Sewer, the _`ollowing Information is
submitted:
The Installation of the sewer has been completed, consisting of 995 feet of 8
inch asbestos cement pipe and three manholes, extending easterly from a point in
front of the Howard Johnson Motel on Ocilla Road. The total actual cost of the sewer
installation was $10,086.00. Of this amount, 75% or $9,564.50 may be assessed
against the properties benefitted as follows:
NORTH SIDE
Assessment to Assessment to
Owner Frontage Be Levied Be Deferred
Dr. Eugene E. Brown 329.5 ft. $ 1279.26
Raymond J. Cox 640.0 ft. 2484.95
SOUTH SIDE
Durso Associates 548.9 ft. 2131.06
Diamond International 280.0 $ 1089.09
Diamond International 150.0 582.36
$ 1089.09 $ 6499.43
It was previously agreed by Council Order 231-Z that the assessments against the
properties owned by Dr. Brown and Mr. Cox would be deferred, since they presently
have only small dwelling units which have adequate septic systems, and do not require
sewer service at this time. It was further agreed that the assessment against the Durso
property and 150 ft. of the Diamond International property would be deferred, in as much
as these properties are not yet developed. It is recommended that the assessments be
levied or deferred as noted above.
Respectfully submL'ted,
