TO: The Honorable City Council
FROM: Me Planning Hoard
SUBJECT: Zoning Change on Broadway
Council Order - 23(+0. Change from LB to Res. C
Council Order - 55AA Change from LB to Gen. Rosiness
Gentlemen:
Please be advised that the Planning Beard held a Public
hearing on beth of the above orders. Sinca they relate to the
same general areao
and to some of the nameproperty, the questions
were considered together. -
The Hoard gave careful consideration to the proposals and
to the different view points expreased. A major factor in the
Roard's consideration wan the fact that they are in the process
of finalizing then' recommendations for the zoning map as pert
of the n zoning ordinae. There is an indication that s
part of the area in question may be proposed e a Commerciale
Development Zone. The Hoard feels that gince they are in the
Process of completing their deliberations and the map that they
should not approve either of {head proposals.
The Hoard, therefore, voted to disapprove both Order 23AA
(Change to RC), and order 55AA (change to GR).
In addition the Board indicated it will take a specific
look at this area, based on several proposals presented, at their
ext meeting are anticipate completing the zoning map on February
5, 1973.
Respectfully,
Caxl Soeobnd `

The Planning Hoard has not as yet scheduled a public
hearing because of the problems a hearing immediately preceeding
the holidays would create for adequate attendance by the general
public.
Me Planning Board will: therefore, be scheduling the
