THAT Chapter VII, Article 6, Section ] of the Ordinances of the City of
— Bangor is hereby amended by deletion of the existing provisions and replacing
them with the following:
Sec. ] Discharge of Firearms Regulated. For purposes of pronating and pro-
tecting the health, safety and
general welfare of x sidents and v sitars of the City of Bangor, all
lauds and mass within the City axe hereby divided into a Firearms
acharge Prohibited District and a Firearms Discharge Restricted
District, as provided hereafter, The boundaries of said Districts

7.1 Firearms Discharge Prohibited District. In,:a Firearms Discharge
Prohibited District,
no person shall fire or discharge, or cause to be fired or dis-
charged, any firearm as defined in 12 MRSA 91901.
7.2 Firearms Discharge Restricted District. In a Firearms Discharge
Restricted District,
o person shall fire or discharge, or cause to be fired or dis-
changed, any firearm as defi ul in 12 MRSA 91901, except as
follows:
7.2.1 Shoff Within a Fireazm4 Discharge Restricted District,
iin areas located at least 100 yards from
occupied dwelling units and not otherwise posted against
hunting or trespassing by the property owner, all persons,
16 years of age or alder, and all persons between the sages
of 10 and 16 If accompanied at all times by a parent or
guardian or by an adult (10 years or
older) approved by
any patent or guardian, may fire or discharge a shotgun
using shells containing shat or pellets of not greater than
a number fact size.
%3 Exceptions. The preceding sections shall not apply to the
fixing Or discharge of firearms at any military
