Gentlemen
Please be advised that the Planning Board held a public hearing on
the above order, January 21, 1974. Discussion of the change was
continued
n February 4, 1974, at which time the Board devoted Considerable discussion
to the proposal --its effect on the area, housing needs, and alternative
potential for development.
The Board then voted unanimously
usly the following motion: "That the
Planning Board, because it finds it inappropriate in the overall development
of the whole area to zone the duties areaa Residence C, r ends against
C. 0. 23AB, and that in doing a at thee a tine submits an alternative plan
for the orderly development of the area.
The Planning Board after discussion of the possible altertativea, and
noting that they were of the opinion that development of the area
should be
for both multi -family and single-family development, voted 4 to1 to recommend
the script; proposal based on alternative plan # 4 as the most appropriate for
the area.
Me minority mote indicated as not being against the residential m
but was against improper zone lines without additions= research and consider-
ations.
