PLANNING CKPARTNINT November 8, 1973 1O: The Honorable City Council FROM: The Planning Beard SPBOICT: Zone Chane Third Street - Council Sense 260AA Gentlemen: Please be advised that the Planning Heard held a public hearing on the above request on October 15, 1973. The Heard gave careful consideration to the request of the aupli- ant, to these opposed to the change and to the recommendations of the Planning staff. After r of the problems involved the Hoard voted to recommend approvalofa portion of the area requested--that i area70 feet on Third Street adjacent to the existing development. They recommended denial of the change for the balance of the property. In recommending approval of part of the lot, the Heard took into consideration the success; traffic safety problem existing with the unloading of tricks servicing the store and the limited effect such expansion would have on the area.
