Goff City Manager, Bangor City Hall Bangor, Maine 04401 Dear Mr. Goff: As you are aware, the Maine Department of Transportation has engaged the consulting firm of Fay, Spofford A Thorndike, Inc. to conduct a legislatively directed bridge feasibility and location study for a possible new river crossing between the municipalities of Bangor and Brewer. In this study endeavor, we feel it would be desirable to establish a local citizens' advisory committee consisting of people from both Bangor and Brewer. In order to provide a workable number of committee members, an effort should be made to limit the number from each City by approximately ten (10) for a combined total of twenty (20) or so. The type of people that would be desirable to have represented on the committee are as follows: 1. City Manager 2. City planning Board Member 3. Police Chief 4. Fire Chief 5. Business Man 6. Regional Planning Commission Member 7. General Citizen - No City Affiliation 8. General Housewife - MO City Affiliation ATO. Others desirable. Y 11. Others, if sea irable. We would appreciate your Submittal of possible committee member names from the City of Bangor. Mr. Merle F. Goff Page 2 September 7, 1973 Once you have had an opportunity to forward a list of names for con- sideration an the committee, we will add the proper State personnel and finalize. The list should include name, address and position. We would appreciate your early attention to this matter so that the initial meeting can be held in the near future.
