Additional right-of-way for the above described roads is acquired as follows: Land Owned by Edward B.. Robert S and John L Murray, PRD, Volume 1074, Page 380. An extension of Sedate Road, beginning on the center line of said road as previously laid out at the northerly line of said Murray land, along a southeasterly extension of said center line for a distance of 100 feet more or less, to the northwesterly line of Crosby Street, measuring 75 feet wide at right angles to said center line, havinga total area of .175 acres. Recommended damages $350 Also, a strip of land 16 feet wide along the southeasterly aide of Crosby Street as previously dedicated, commencing at the northeasterly line of said Murray land and extending 194.35 feet to the southwest, having an area of .072 acres. Total Recommended Damages $114 Land Owned by the Katandin Council Inc. Boy Scouts of America, PRD, Volume 1189, Page 329. A strip of land along the southeasterly side of the existing dedicated right-of-way of Crosby Street, said strip of land measuring 16 feet in width and extending from the northeasterly to the southwesterly line of said Boy Scout property, a distance of 282.17 feet, having an area of .104 acres. Recommended Damages None There appeared at the time and place for the meeting Mrs. Thelma F. Thurlow, Trustee Of land of Kenneth H. Dyer; Mr. Robert J. Murray; and Attorney James A. Rooney, representing the Murray heirs. The construction features of the roadway were described, and it was point- ed out that no additional right-of-way would be required within 280 feet of Thatcher Street, since the property in that area s residential and would not be developed for industrial purposes. Itw s further pointed out that the roadway would be constructed within that area so as not to remove any trees of value, and the grade of the road would be slightly lowered so as to improve the drainage. The r commended damages as noted above we stated, and it was further pointed out that the roadway c nstruction, together with possible sewer construction would be assessed against the properties that would benefit, but the proposed assessments would be made a part of future correspondence with the property owners. It was also pointed out that the existing Crosby cemetery located on the northwest aide of therroadway would be preserved. None of those present objected to the proposed laying out. It is proposed that the above described right -o£ -ways be laid out and accepted as public ways as noted above, to be known as Crosby Street from Thatcher Street in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 1038.63 feet, with the remaining Portion extending northwest to be known as Godsoe Road. Aplan showing the proposed layout, entitled "Plan And Profile, Crosby Street" Plan No. C -No. 55, Sheet 4 of 10, dated December 1, 1972, is on file in the office of the City Engineer.
