(&YUT2LM, Amending the _Zoning ordinance Park & ;nee t t a Zone to General Business Zone -- Main Street at Farm Road Be a ordained by the City Cowuil of the city ofEangor, asf Gone: _ That the zone boundary lines as established by the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Bangor on January %, 1954, as amended be hereby further amended as follows: To change from Park & Institutional Zone to General Easiness Zone a parcel of land north of Main Street between Farm Road and I-395 comprising 3.8 acres of land and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point being the intersection of the north line of Farm Road and Main Street; thence north westerly along the north line of Farm Road for a distance of 499.93 ft. more or less to a point; thence innorth easterly direction at right angles to Farm Road for a distance of 264.64 ft. more r less to a point being on the south line of the Interstate Highway System; thence by and along said south line of the highway and ramp system to Main Street thence southerly along the north line of Main Street to the point of beginning. Me Planning board gave careful consideration to the request and to the potential use engrossed, that of using the existing cafeteria for public a Of major concern however esa the potential for develop- ment under General Business and the access limitations necessary because of the location. The Board did feel that the General Business zoning did fit with the character of development in thealthough there was about the az adjacent to the ramp where it was assumed teak access would be prohibited.
