Introduced and filed by a ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT CITY OF BANGOR, MAINE May 24, 1973 TO THE MUNICIPAL OFFICERS: Reference is made to City Council Order No. 12: AA passed May 14, 1973, directing the City Engineer to determine the cost and assessments for a extension to the Hildreth Street West Sewer to serve the property owned by Sidney Epstein. Plana and cost estimates have been completed, and it has been determined that the extension would require the installation of 320 feet of B" Class 2400 asbestos cement pipe and 1 manhole, extending easterly from anexisting manhole on the Hildreth Street West Sewer located n the west aide of the Rains Central Railroad tracks. The total estimated cost of the sewer extension is $4,200, of which 75%. o $3,150 may be assessed against the property benefited. W. Epstein owns 17 a which would benefit by the s installation, of which approximately 5 acres is presently being developed. It is recommended that the assessment be levied in proportion to the amount of property being developed, and the r ing portion be deferred until the remainder of the property is developed. For the present 5 acres of development, the levied assessment would be approximately $930, with the remaining $2,220 to be deferred. it is recommended that the sewer extension he constructed as soon as possible.
