And that the said City Engineer met at the time and piece of meeting specifled in the engines and proceeded to lay out the discontinuance of a Portion of Palm Street ------------ as follows:� — Beginning at a granite monument at the intersection of the westerly right-cf-way line of Palm Street and the southe=ly right-of-way line of Somerset Street; Thence south along said westerly right-of-way line of Palm Street for a distance of 325 feet to a point; Thence in an easterly direction at right angles to the last -described line for a distance of 48 feet to the easterly right-of-way line of Palm Street; Thence innortherly direction on a line parallel to and 48 feet east from the first -described line for a distance 325 feet to the southerly right-of-way line of Somerset Street; Thence in a westerly direction at right angles to the last -described line for a distance of 48 feet to the point of beginning. The above-described discontinuance is a portion of Palm Street a laid out and accepted as a public way on July 27, 1887, and recorded in City of Bangor Plan Book 2, Page 153. No person or persons appeared at the time and place set for the meet- ing. It is recommended that no damages be paid for said discontinuance, and that the land be retained by the City, and be incorporated into the Abraham Lincoln School property.
