CITY OF BANGOR
(TITLE.) (OrbinMW9f Amending Chapter 111, Article o, Section6 of the
Laws and Ordinances of the City of Bangor

— THAT Chapter 111, Article 6, Section 6 of the Laws and Ordinances of the City
Of Bangor is hereby repealed and replaced with the following:
Sec. 6 Waiving Court Hearing for Violation.
6.1 Any person
sed of a violation of any portion
of this ordinance relating to parking at aex-
pired meter, overtime parking or illegal occupancy
of two parking paces may voluntarily waive his o
her right to appear and defend before any Court o
judicial tribunal the charge made against him or her
for such illegal parking by paying 4o the municipality
the am of one dollar ($L.00) within five (5) days of
the time such alleged offense was cmmitted.
6.2 Any person a sed of a violation of any portion
of this ordinance relating to parking to o parking
area or parking o the wrong side of the s may
voluntarily waive his or her right to appear eand defend
before any Court or Jud ictal tribunal the charge made
against him or her for such illegal parking by paying
to the municipality the sea of three dollars ($3.00)
within five (5) days of the time of such alleged offense
was committed.
_ 6.3 Any person accused of a violation of any portion

in a hazardousa illegal night parking or illegal
interference or blocking of snow removal may voluntarily
waive his or her right to appear and defend before any
Court or judicial tribunal the charge made against him o
her for such illegal parking by paying to the municipality

time of such alleged offense was ccommlrted.
6.4 Any per used of a violation of any portion

6.5 Members of the Police Capartment are hereby
authorized to refrain fromrnstituting prosecution
for the alleged offense for period of five (5)
days from the time such alleged offense was
committed.

6 OF THE LAWS AND ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BANGOR (Revisicas to the Parking
Ticket Ordinance)
PROPOSED AMENR4NT TO COUNC ORDINM'CE 128 AB:
It is moved that Council Ordinance 128 AS be amended as fellows
(1) That subsection 6.1 of Council Ordinance 128 AN be amended by deleting
the existing proposed provisions and replacing toem with the follow Lng:
1-6.1 Any person accused of a violation of any portion
of this ordinance relating to parking at aex-
pired meter, overtime Parking or illegal occupancy
of two parkinspaces my voluntarily we his or

the sum of fifty cents ($.50) within the first thirty
(30) days of the time such alleged offense was c committed

(2) That Council Ordinance 128 AS be amended by the addition of subsection
6.6 to read as follows:
6.6 The provisions of this section (Section 6) shall not
became effective until midnight, August 31, 1974.
