And Mat the said City Engineer met at the time and place of meeting specified in the predicts and proceeded to tawmat_.._..discontinue $aid_Fight of way,_mox fu_lly_.,___ described as follows: Lot number 26 as shown on a plan entitled "Bangor Garden Names" prepared by Prentiss & Carlisle Co., ins., sheet 1 of 3, recorded in Penobscot Registry of Deeds Plan Book No. 20, Page 84 on October J, 1960, and more fully described as follows: Beginning at a point at the intersection of the easterly right -o£ - way line of Thornton Road and the northerly line of Lot No. 25 as shown on the above described plan; thence east at right angles to said Thornton Road right-of-way line along the northerly line of Lot No. 25 for a distance of 100 feet; thence in a northerly dir- ection at right angles to the last -described linefor a distance of 60 feet; thence west at right angles to the last described line for a distance of 100 feet to the easterly right-of-way line of Thornton Road; thence south along the easterly right-of-way line of Thornton Road for a distance of 60 feet to the point of beginning. The above described right-of-way contains 6,000 square feet, and. ws originally accepted by the City Council for future use as a right-of-way on June 22, 1953, and amended on June 6, 1960. No person or persona appeared at the time and place set for the seting. The City Engineer recommends that no damages be allowed, nor no benefits be assessed as a result of the right-of-way dis- continuance. It is recommended that the right-of-way be discontinued, vacated and abandoned for street purposes, and that the City relinquish all rights that it may have to said right-of-way.
