By Ow Ctity Council of 1A City of Bangor -
RESOLVED,
WHEREAS, there are plans to create a park along the
Kenduskeag Stream from Frad4clin Street to the former Flour Hill
Dam; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that $25,000 will be needed
to engineer and plan this project,
NOW, THEREFORE, By the City Council of the City of Bangor:
RESOLVED, THAT it is hereby deemed to be in the beat interests
of the public and of the inhabitants of the City of Bangor to plan
a park and open space project along the Kenduskeag Stream t and for
that purpose it will be necessary for the City to borrow 625,000
and in evidence thereof issue bonds of the City; and
Be it further RESOLVED, THAT the City Council hereby declares
and agrees, for and on behalf of said City and its inhabitants, to
Provide for and borrow and issue bonds therefor during 1974, as
recommended by the Finance Committee of the City Council, an amount
not to exceed $25,000 to plan a park add open space project along
the Kenduskeeg Stream on such terms axdl conditions as may be deemed
necessary and proper by the Bangor City Council.
Statement of Fact. This project will generate approximately
$180,000 of state and federal foods
including approximately $15,000 re-
imbursement of the $25,000 expenditure
for planning and engineering.
