The Committee consists of a nvery influential seg- ment of the business community, whose experience, expertise, and dedication to. the area constitute a major resource. It is my feeling, and that of our Executive Committee, that the potential of our group has not been fully utilized by munici- pal officials concerned with development. We certainly have n desire to criticize the efforts of these officials but sincerely feel that from ourmembership w could provide them with assist - once that would further ourn objectives. Accordingl, o behalf of the Committee, I would like to request that we be given the opportunity to ex with appropriate cooperation fro city officials, the pexamine m lities for developing a community effort to set reasonable development goals for Bangor over the ext five years and to explore the basis for improved public- private cooperation in implementing any resulting plans.
