THAT the City Treasurer be authorized to issue temporary notes as
required in anticipation of a bond issue for the following Capital
Improvements:
1. Kenduskeag Stream U. R. $ 187,752
2. land Acquisition - Fire Station 250,000
3. City Hall Improvements 70,400
4. Parking Lot - Columbia St. 60,0D0 'x.,. e . c
5. Arctic Brook Sewer 35,000
6. Dog Pound 35,000
7. International Arrivals Building 300,000
B. Kenduskeag Stream Sewer Extension 200,000
Total $1,218,152 . _ `
Statement of Fact:
We have been advised that this is not a particularly good time
to issue bonds. It is anticipated that late In the year will be some-
what better. Therefore it is recommended that we borrow by note
only what Is necessary from time to time to carry out our Capital
Improvement Program until a more favorable bond climate.
