CITY OF BANGOR
(TITLE.) @rbjr=tCi Adopting Fire Prevention Code
Be it ordained by the City Conseil of City ofBangnr, ashUancs:
THAT Chapter VII, Article 14, Section L of the Laws and Ordinances of the
City of Bangor is hereby repealed and replaced with the foLlawLng:
Sec. 1 Fire Prevention Code Adopted. In a< ordance with Title
30, 92156, Maine Revised
Statutes Annotated of 1964, as mender, the "Fire
Prevention Code'recommended and published by the American
insurance Association, of which Code not lees than three
(3) copies have been and now
are filed in the office of the
City Clerk, is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference,
s the minimum standards for safeguarding Life and property
from the hazards of fire and explosion arising it on the
storage, handling and use of bazardous substances, materials
and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property
in the use or occupancy of buildings or premises.
THAT Chapter VII, Article 14, Section 5 (B) is hereby repealed and replaced
with the following:
B. The limits referred to in Section 16.61 of the Fire Prevention
Cods, in c+hich new bulk plants where flammable or
combustible
liquids are prohibited, are hereby established as follows: all
residential, park and institutional, business and industrial park

Council Ordinance 226 Ag, in which it is proposed that the City
of Hanger adopt the most recent Fire Prevention Code, requires an amendment
to Comply with the modern of 30 MRSA ®2156, Suggested is the following:
'That Council Ordinance 226 AE be amended by inserting
the words '1970 Edition' in the fourth (4th) line
following the words Prevention Code, so t hat the pro-
posed ordinance reads
