PLANNING DEPARTMENT
August 12, 1974
'N: The Honorable City Council
FROM: The Planning board
RE: Amending Zoning Ordinance West of Broadway, Off Grandview Ave.
Council Order 222 AB
Gentlemen:
Please be advised that the Planning Heard held a public hearing
August 5, 1974 on the above request.
The Planning Heard gave careful consideration to the proposal as presented,
as well as, to the ideas expressed by those opposed to such development.
The Planning Heard considered the problems involved relative to develop -
end and potential sub -division. There is a problem of piecing off small
areas without an overall subdivision program.
There is e problem with piece meal spot development by way of repeated
proposals. The Planning Heard can not relate the interaction and coordination
of the various developments.
Serious questions Are sed as to access to each proposal from adjacent
Areas as well as the out laying street system•
As indicated by the City Engineer there are questions on the access
to this specific proposal by say of the Hanson roadway as
well as a potential
problem relative W the sewer extension and road grades.
After such consideration the Planning Heard voted unanimously to disapprove
the request for a zone change.
Respect fully submitted,
CarlKoss 4.
