ORDERED,
TMT the City Manager be authorized to proceed with the purchase of
the following items in the 1975 budget all of which are of a recurring or
replacement nature or have estimated delivery dates which carry beyond
a six-month period.
Fertilizers, plants, trees, grass seed, traffic paint, police cars,
street light poles and fixtures, castings, mowers, insecticides
and herbicides, and heavy equipment replacement.
STATEMENT OF FACT: In recent years the budget has not been passed
until May which brings us into our construction
season. Delivery of certain materials is expected to be slow and some
will be to very short supply. Early authorizations during the slow winter
months will improve our delivery schedules and could also have cost
and price benefits.
