To the Mnicipal Officers:
Referencemade to City Council order No. 271 AA, passed
October 10, 191.,, which authorized the construction of the Arctic
Brook Sewer Extension, extending in a northerly direction from
Grandview Avenue to Essex Street. The work has been completed,
and the following report is submitted:
The sewer extension consisted of the installation of
1,856 feet of 14" pipe, 728 feet of 10" pipe, and 7 manholes,
with the sewer terminating in Essex street approximately 2,000
feet north of the intersection of Grandview Avenue. The final
costofthe sewer installation was $33,440.05. As mentioned in
the previous report which was accepted by Council Order No.
271 AA, the entire cost of construction would be paid by Nr.
Thomas Walsh, to be paid upon completion of the sewer construc-
tion. Furthermore, Nr. Walsh would be reimbursed annually in
the amount of 8 times the sewer user fee revenues received as
a result of the sewer installation, until such time as Nr.
Walsh has received full reimbursement of the amount which he
paid. It is recommended that the first reimbursement be
computed as of the last sewer user fee billing of 1975.
It is recommended that the cast of the sewer installation
be billed to Nr. Walsh immediately, with reimbursement to be
made as noted above.
Respectfully submitted,
John T. Frawley,
City Engineer
