To the Municipal Officers:
Pursuynt to City Council order No. 178 AB passed May 29,
1974, directing the City Engineer to make a cost study for the
extension of s nitary sewer service on Eason Avenue, the fol-
lowing report is submitted:
The proposed installation would consist of the installation
of approximately 720 feet of B" sanitary sewer pipe and two
manholes, extending in a southwesterly direction from the
present terminus of the present existing sewer. The total
estimated cost of the sewer installation is $12,360.00, of
which 50%, or $6,180.00 may be assessed against the properties
benefited. Following is a -list of the property which abuts
the proposed sewer extension, with the coat pro rated on a
front -foot basis:

It will be noted that more than one-half of the frontage
served by the proposed sewer extension consists of existing
City and State rights-of-way, which would not benefit by the
sewer installation; however, -in order to obtain a reasonable
assessment per front foot against the other properties it is
e
considered necessary to pro rate the right -of -way -frontage .
along with the private frontage.
it is recommended that the sewer be constructed as described
above and that the assessments against those persona who are i
favor of the sewer be levied upon completion of the sewer instal-
lation, and that those opposed to the installation be offered
the option of a 75% deferred assessment upon completion. .
Respectfully submitted,
Sohn T. Frawley,
City engineer
