1. I, Thomas C. Johnston, Assistant City Solicitor of the City of Bangor,
hereby petition W amend the zoning ordinance of the City of Barger,
Maine by emending Chapter VIII, Article 2, Section 6 (5) of the laws
and Ordinances of the City of Berger by Inserting the words "an
agricultural zone
rafter We word "In" of the first line, of sub-
section (5) so that it reads as follows:
"Ir gricultwal zon r any residential zone a
aingl-e ily dwelling e . .
2. REASONS FOR REQUEST
The reason for this zone change is to ameliorate the effect of subsection
5 Won lots approved prier to October 4, 1974 in subdivlaione located in
agricultural zones. A case in point is the approved plan for the Bunker
lane Subdivision off Ohio Street where some lots have widths leas than the
300 feet required in an agricultural cone. They do however eomply with
the li acre requirement. The proposed amendment would permit "lots of
cord" in agricultural as well as residential vanes long j v lopment
is limited to single family dwellings. i _ s / e_/
