Taxicabs and public Vehicles

That the following sub -sections of Section 9,Chapter IV, Article 1
of the Ordinance entitled "Taxicabs and public Vehicles" be repealed:
9.1 Maximum rates
9.1.1. To and From Airport
9.2 Hand Luggage
9.6 Waiting Time
and that the following sub-sectione be substituted therefor and added
thereto:
9.1 Maximum rates. The, maximum rates for all taxicabs shall
ee a£o3fs:-for the first mile or fraction thereof 150;
200 for each additioIDll/4 mile; 250 for each additional
passenger, but this. charge for the additional passenger
carried shall be optional with the owner of the taxicab.
9.1,1 To and From Airport. Taxicabs shall be permitted to
charge'a flat rate of $1.50 per person from the airline
terminals at the Bangor International Airport to downtown
Bangor or from downtown Bangor to said terminals. Each
additional person over 12 years of age may be charged an
additional rate of $1.00 at the option of the owner of the
taxicab.
9.1.2 ToandFrom O1dCapehaxt. Taxicabs shall be permitted to
charge a flat rate of 52.00 per person from the Old Capehart
area to downtown Bangor or from downtown Bangor to said Old
Capehart-area..
Downtown Bangor defined. Downtown Bangor is that
area known as the scentral business district zone"
(C-4 zone) as delineated on the Zoning Map of the
City of Bangor dated September 23, 1974, including
the Bangor City Hall and Federal Building areas.
9.2 Hand Luggage. A charge of 106 per suitcase may be
Race £or carrying any suitcases in excess of two in
number.
9.2.1 Groceries. A charge of 106 per bag may be made for
car grocery bags in excess of two in number.
9.2.2 Other Items. A charge of 506 per item for carrying in
awe taxicab may be made at the option of the
owner of the taxicab, excluding however, suitcases and
groceries as hereinbefore provided for.
9.6 Waitin mime. Waiting time in excess of 5 minutes when
done at the request of the passenger may be charged
for at the maximum rate of 106 per minute for each
minute in excess of said 5 minutes.
10.4 Dovbhe Parkin . Taxicabs may double park to pick up

discfiarge passengers or parcels provided that the
flashers on said taxicabs are put in the "on" position
during said parking period and that said parking period
is limited to no more than 5 minutes.

9.1 Maximum Rates. For all taxicabs, the maximum rates shall be as
follows:
For the firstKmile or fraction thereof, $. 75; $. Kfor each additional

taxicab.
