BBSOLVBB, WHEREAS, the City of Bangor wishes to make application for and receive Federal and State funds under the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act and the Municipal Recreation Fund progzem for the acquisition and development of land adjacent to Kenduskeag Stream in the area between Franklin Street and approximately 2,000 feet beyond Interstate 95; and WEEBFIS, at the time of submission of such application the local share of the project wet Want be appropriated:. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT BE.9OLVED by the City Council of the City of Bangor, that; the aim of Ninety-one Thousand Dollars ($91,000) be appropriated forms the Capital Fwd to finance the City's share of the coat of acquisition and development of Kenduskeag Stream Park involving the filling of eroded areas, the placement of stone rip rap, seeding and mulching, the plantingof trees and shrubs, construction of walks and railings, and work on the Morse covered bridge, provided, however, that the aforementioned appropriation shall not be effective unleas and until funds in at least the amount of $30,000 be approved for the City frou the Municipal Recreation Food and unless and until funds in at least the amount of $150,000 be approved for the city from the Land and Water Conservation Fund. STATEMENT OF FACT: If the application for the Kenduskeeg Stream Park Project is approved, the Federal share of the total Project coat of $300,000 Will be 503 or $150,000 (Lend and Water conservation Fund), the State share 103 or $30,000 (Municipal Recreation Fund), and the City share $120,000. To date, owners of property abutting the stream have agreed to Comte property to the Project with a total value of $29,000, the value of which can be used as part of the local where.
