Between Eenduskeag Avenue and. Broadway, Extension of School Street

THAT WHEREAS, the City Council has previously authorized
the construction of a new public way between Nenduskeag Avenue
and Broadway to serve the proposed Bradford Commons development
located south of the Mason college property,
NOW THEREFORE, be it
ORDERED, that the City Engineer acting for and on behalf
of the Municipal officers be and hereby is directed to lay out
by metes and bounds and establish a grade for said roadway
along the location generally described as follows:
Beginning at leeMu;keag-Avenue on the centerline of the
Beason College access road; thence ina northeasterly direction
along the centerline of the existingaccess road for a
distance of approximately 1,600 feet to a point opposite the
main entrance to the Reason College Campus; thence in a south-
easterly direction on a projection of the Mason College
entrance road centerline for a distance of 800 feet, more
or less, to the northerly line of Bradford Commons; thence
in an easterly direction along the northerly line of Bradford
Commons for a distance of 1,200 feet, more or less; thence
continuing in an easterly direction for a distance of 1,000
feet, more Or less, to Broadway, intersecting at a point
opposite the existing School Street extending east from
Broadway; and be it further
ORDERED, that the City Engineer proceed to give written
notice of such intention of said Municipal Officers by posting
such Notices for seven (7) days in two (2) public places in the
City of Bangor and in the vicinity of said right-of-way; and
be it further

ORDERED, that the city Engineer make a written return of
said proceedings containing the bounds and admeasurements of said
sight -of -way, together with the damages allowed to any person or
persons for land taken, all in accordance with the Laws of the
State of Maine, and be it further
ORDERED, -that thesum of Eighty shousand Dollars ($80,000.00)
be transferred from the Reserve for Future Construction - General
(92-2235), to cover the additional costs of said roadway Construc-
tion, said costs to be paid by the city of Bangor and But assessed
against the abutting properties.
