The preapplicatlon approved and submitted proposed the following activities: Amount Activity - Priority Requested 1. Buildings, Relocation of Displacees -location: Hancock -York NOP - TOTAL $680,010 After review of the preapplication, the Department of Housing and Urban Development invited the City to submit a full application ata funding level of $283,000 of which $2239000 is to be used for property acquisition, clearance and relocation in the Haocock-York Neighborhood Development Project and $60,000 for property rehabilitation loan$ and grants. As the total Commodity Development Block Grant Discretionary funding availability for competing communities in the State of Maine was $2.6 million, and seventy Maine commaulties submitted preapplications involving requests for a total of approximately $17 million, full funding of the City's $680,010 pre— application request could not realistically be expected. Me City Council Agenda for May 24th includes a request far approval to submit a full Community Development Discretionary Grant application to provide $223,000 for funding of the acquisition, clearance and related relocation costs in acquiring additional properties in the Hancoek—York NIP (consistent with the Acquisition Plan approved by the Council on August 25, 1975) and $60,000 to be added to the property rehabilitation loan fund to assist property rehabilitation financing in the Hancock—York NDP between York and State Streets.
