Bangor be amended by adding the following definition provision:
Florist Shop. An establ feha no in which the primary use is
the business of selling flowers, shrubs, and
ornamental plants at retail.
Be it further ordained by the City Council of the City of Bangor, as follows:
THAT Chapter VIII, Article 12, Section 3 (l) be amended by inserting the
following subsection (g) and vedesignating the existing subsections (g)
and (h) as (h) and (i):
(g) florin[ shop
STATEMENT OF FACT: The purpose of this amendment is to provide fox the
inclusion of florist shops as permitted bass in the C-2 Zone.

Please be advised that the planning Board held a Public Hearing
on the above change on April 20, 1976.
The Planning Board considered the proposed change, the effect of
such a change as well as the appropriateness of such addition and process.
Although noting:. however, there should be a general review of uses per-
mitted in the Commercial 1 zone.
After consideration, the Planning Hoard voted 3-2 to recommend
against the proposed change.
