' The Planning Board considered the need for such change, the effect it would have as well as the opinions expressed against - enacting the changes. After considerable discussion, the Planning Board voted unenamously to recommend against approval of this change. It was felt that the proposed Historical Zoning Ordinance was very near to completion and that it might better accomplish the goals of preserving architectural and historical buildingswith more appropriate controls than this proposal. In addition, there gas concern Over the effect thin proposal could have on interior residential streets. The Board also expressed the opinion that should an Historical Ordinance not be implemented in the near future, then it might be appropriate to consider this approach at a later date.
